    i've kinda been considering getting new fighting games, smash has been fun and all but I kinda want a fresh start on another fighting game. Maybe Blazblue or Guilty Gear.

      @nickokaka I'm not really much of an authority on fighting games but I've played some of the BlazBlue games and they're pretty fun, generally really energetic and kind of goofy so great with friends.

            @rarity In fairness I kind of suck at video games in general so the only fighting games I really actively play are ones I can enjoy at a casual level if need be, like Smash

              @northernnarwhal As far as I remember there are difficulty tiers, but in any of them if you consider the first stage as difficulty 1, then stage 1 will be 1, stage 2 will be 1.5-2, stage 3 will be 5 and stage 4 will be 10 basically. It has a broken difficulty progression that makes it hard to get used to it as you play as a game should.

                  @northernnarwhal I never actually finished one, though I did spend a bunch of hours on the last stage on the GC one. It's frustrating.

              @nickokaka I actually like playing as Taokaka, she's fast, hits hard, and has good support with some of her utility moves

                  @nickokaka That too, she's sort of a glass cannon. You have to play really aggressively as her if you want to do well with her.
