  1. You know what guys, I dunno what the cherry are you guys talking, something about terrorism I guess, I don't give a kiwi, all this grape, all the wars are just fault of the government, they just think the only way to resolve a conflict with other country is killing innocents of that country (that's how the 2nd war finished)

    1. @therockstarbrony War is not as simple. The seminal Tragedy that led to the seminal period (World War One) was a bunch of bureaucratic errors, miscalculations, misunderstanding, and so much unluck. http://pny.lv/z0hc

    2. @therockstarbrony Wars are often the result of Civil unrest as well. Escalations and philosophy.
War used to be seen as necessary

    3. @therockstarbrony The big issue here is that these terrorists damaged a VERY VALID cause like getting foreign invaders off their own land, by enacting extremism and slaughtering their own civilians. If they only harmed foreigners to get them off their land it'd be fine, but they also attack locals. If they didn't bother their own, then the most valid course of action would be just leaving them alone.

    4. @therockstarbrony They're bombing ISIS. It's either bomb ISIS and ACCIDENTALLY hit a few civilians, or essentially recreate the conditions that led to Adolf Hitler's rise to power by just doing NOTHING and allowing them to commit genocide.

      1. @mrmattimation Then again WWII brought peace to Europe for the first time in forever.

        1. @skellythos Because Europe got together and said "Let's make sure this kind of thing never happens again." ISIS, on the other hand, is an objectively evil force that won't LISTEN to that sort of reasoning because they're already strapping bombs to themselves, running into buildings, shooting everything, and then blowing themselves up to keep from being taken alive. Jihadists don't care about death and therefore cannot be swayed by diplomacy.

          1. @mrmattimation Oh, of course, I'm not saying that they should be left alone. If anything, what should be done is actually lend support to the affected populations rather than just walking in all "we do whatever we want". That's the main issue. If instead you take a "my candy is sweeter" approach, while they offer fear instead, you'll strt having people actually help you find and attack ISIS.

          2. @mrmattimation What I meant is that ultraviolence often leads to discouraging the populations from fighting again, by sheer trauma.
