  1. You'd think that, since television animation has gotten cheaper with the advent of Cintiqs and programs like Flash and ToonBoom, and since cable networks now have much larger budgets than they did in the 90s, cartoons would be MORE creatively animated, not less.

      1. @mushi Well, I'm not talking about mass production of animation, I'm talking about with all these tools and this large budget, animators should be able to bump up their quality and take more risks because of how much faster they can work.

          1. @skellythos Trigger was formed by former Gainax employees, so it's no surprise that the level of animation in their shows is wildly fluid and ranges from the best to the worst of whatever's airing at the time.
