@extremedash Exactly man. I've always liked drawing but I was too lazy to do it regularly. I've felt like I've drawn more pictures since I've found ponies than I have in the 6 years that I've been drawing. lol

@extremedash Well I only started drawing ponies when I got into FiM. Before that it was of whatever. And yes pencil sharpeners are important!!! Unless you have a mechanical one.

@extremedash Same here hahaha. I *hated* my art teacher in middle school. Which is funny because up until that year I liked art. Now I want to learn to draw, lol.

@extremedash I wish I had now. I can't draw to save my life. Even when I spend HOURS on something it always just looks like I did it with my eyes closed. It's really frustrating, to say the least.

@starshine Actually that was one of the warm up techniques my art teacher used to make us do. Draw something with our eyes closed or without looking at the paper. I used to just trace my hand and say I was trying draw a hand lol

@extremedash my art teacher generally told me I was a complete failure and would never be a good artist. She also tended to give vague instructions like "paint a still life with tempura paint", and then wrote disciplinary referrals when I asked her questions like "what is tempura paint".
