Personally I would just bury it in a bunch of folders. I prefer the windows folder, because when you do a search, it doesn't look there (not indexed either).

@renovatedkitchen Personally I use a triple encrypted hidden truecrypt partition.

@ceruleanspark Back when I had my toughbook, everything was hardware encrypted. (Forget the make of the encrypting chip) However, it did make it slightly slower.

@renovatedkitchen Unless you're in serious danger as a result, the best way is to not hide ponies at all.

@ceruleanspark Or pop them on a mem stick, with a decryption key on another.

@renovatedkitchen Truecrypt will allow you to use a piece of hardware as a physical decryption key, so you could just /make/ the second stick your decryption key

@renovatedkitchen The keys to restore the root DNS servers are stored on physical artifacts that have been sent to 7 keepers around the world. In the event of a catastrophic DNS failure, they have to make a lord of the rings style epic journey to find eachother and restart the system.

@ceruleanspark thats why 3 of the worlds pyramids align, they are 3 main locations for said artifacts, interconnecting through the centre of the earth
