  1. I really should be WAY more agressive next time I play Civ 5... If there is even a next time, because that game is so terribly tame it makes horse-shoe tossing about as interesting as pro-wressling by comparison

    1. @critialcloudkicker Everytime I play Civ 5 I get really into it for a while but by the end of the game I've just lost all interest. It's not that it's too slow for me, but the games drag on way too long.

      1. @razzleberry You know, exactly that. I mean, I like games that take long. But for Civ5 it kinda tests my patience with the fact that I really can not exploit my best perks to the point where I become a big unstoppable monster, or exploit my enemies weakness where I overcome a great obstacle through great tactical genousity. Due to it being turn-based and on a LUA engine that takes WAAAAAY too long per turn ( especially when on big map with over 12 computers )... Now Sins of a Solar Empire is actually a WAY longer game, and you can seriously exploit the hell out of your perks or your opponents weakness if you use your brain, and that game can take even longer.

I still kinda wanna play a game that goes though the ages like Civ5 though... Perhaps I will go give Rise of Nations another go

        1. @critialcloudkicker If I'm playing single player it's fine because I can just save and start over later. Unfortunately I never play single player, so when I play with people I'm always the one about two hours in whose all like "My GOD just end it >.<"

          1. @razzleberry Oh, yeah, I would play with humans. But they can be such a pain... And by pain I mean that there is always this numbskull who takes 2 minutes per turn in the early game... Add 1 second per turn of the game. And 1 game takes 500 turns... Whoop... just got yourself a game of [ (120 times 500) plus ( 1+2+3+4+5 ... untill 500 ) ] ... I am going to say 52 hours...

I guess I just demonstrated that turn based games are primarily if not only fun when you are at least in punching distance of eachother.

            1. @critialcloudkicker To be fair, most things are more fun when you're within punching distance.

              1. @razzleberry *goes over a long list by head*

... There have to be a few things that make the exception, right ?

                1. @critialcloudkicker I don't think so.

                  1. @razzleberry The only time something might be better without anyone in in close proximity would probably be reserved only for those times where one might want to drown their sorrow in a big bucket of Ben & Jerries.

Which is like SUPER sad... They do not sell big buckets of Ben & Jerries around here anywhere T_T

                    1. @critialcloudkicker That is the saddest thing I've ever heard. As in, the fact that you don't get Ben & Jerry's anymore
