      1. @tiffany quoth Anthony Burgess on ann introduction he did for a later publishing for the novel with said phrase: "If he can only perform good and evil, he is a clockwork orange-- meaning that he has the appearance of an organism lively with the colour and juice but is in fact a clockwork toy to be wound up by God or the Devil". Really good analogy.
