  1. I seriously don't understand SJW mindset.

    1. @nerthos I have this custom printed on a T-shirt. Turns out that noone can. I can explain it with 1 word though.

      "Self-righteousness"

      1. @critialcloudkicker That and a misguided craving for "doing good", though they do good much in the same way Saruman would.

        1. @nerthos ha, that would take a new meaning to 'of many colours'

          1. @awl Many colours with an emphasis on yellow.

        2. @nerthos Interesting that you would go with Saruman. Here have an outtake from a certain comic, care to guess what supervillain passed "the test" ? http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/833064

          1. @critialcloudkicker Well, I mostly meant it because Saruman thinks he can use the ring to do his own thing, and ends up screwing up the only place that was still nice and peaceful, killing thousands, and achieving literally nothing good at all, with a vision that was flawed from the beginning. Not a tragic well-intentioned hero, but rather a confused villain.

            1. @nerthos ... Yeah I know, probably very close to the SJW "type" but does not quite beat Dr Doom

              1. @critialcloudkicker The difference is that Dr Doom actually wanted something good, regardless of the bloodshed to get there. The SJW ideal is not good. It's absolutely and completely awful and would bring misery to the vast majority of the world.

                1. @nerthos There is not "one SJW to rule them all" though. Seems that there is one for every aspect of whatever one could possibly see as inequality. Gender ? Race ? Android or Apple ? Prefer to pee standing ? Heck even the way you hang your toilet roll could possibly be attacked/defended/overzealousified by a SJW.

... Question is, are we not all our own SJW and/or fanboy to the point where the lines blur ? It's probably the zeal of a person in the persuit and/or enforcement of this.

Soo... Saruman is a SJW because almost everyone agrees that what he did is bad.

And Dr Doom is a overzealous fanboy because you can probably find a lot of people in Lateveria who are happy with him ?

                  1. @critialcloudkicker No no, I'm not saying either of them is an SJW. They aren't. SJWs are race/gender/wjhatever supremacists with an intense hatred of anyone who isn't like them. Neither Saruman nor Dr Doom are like that.

                    1. @nerthos Then I think I am having trouble saying whom are SJW's and whom are not.

                      1. @critialcloudkicker An SJW is defined by extremist militancy on a cause, feeling they or others are being oppressed or attacked by a made up or not enemy. In their zeal they target a vast majority of innocents that haven't ever wronged them, and end up believing none other than those that are like them are good. They THINK they're doing something good when in fact they're only sabotaging their own cause by behaving as villains.

                        1. @nerthos ... Hitler comes to mind somehow

                          1. @critialcloudkicker He's a good example of an SJW who isn't completely incapable of getting anything done. IF he genuinely believed in what he preached, anyway.

                            1. @nerthos Does your ability to get something done factor in into becoming a SJW ? Because if it does then we probably would have to jump right into the "does a trending hashtag on twitter/facebook count as getting something done ?" discussion

Thursday, 18-Feb-16 22:47:59 UTC from web
                              1. @critialcloudkicker Not really. Your ability doesn't factor into your status, even though they usually have a hard time doing anything in the physical world.

Thursday, 18-Feb-16 22:57:19 UTC from web
                                1. @nerthos What is your opinion on BanBossy then ? ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dynbzMlCcw ) . People were certainly calling that SJW-something, but I do not see them as "sabotaging themselves by behaving as villains" but instead I see them suffering from a horrible ideology. Also the Irony regarding having bossy influencefull/powerfull people trying to ban the word bossy, that is sort of really bossy behaviour. I think there would be a way better B word that could have been banned come to think of it.

                                  1. @critialcloudkicker I have no idea what you're talking about but from what I'm reading, it sounds mind-bogglingly retarded.

Thursday, 18-Feb-16 23:14:51 UTC from web
                                    1. @nerthos Oh, right. In short a bunch of feminists tried to get the word "Bossy" to be banned because they say it is bad for the young unfluential mind. "Young girls are afraid to step up because they are afraid to be called bossy" was the main rhetoric.

As such they got a bunch of very influential woman to speak out against that word.

Which seemed a bit disingenuous if not completely bonkers.

Then they made that video and started a viral-wannabe-spread on facebook, twitter, youtube, neogaf and kotaku.

Which many people straight out ignored except maybe a handfull who tried to spoonfeed it to everyone, untill this ( pretty much hilarious ) video put a nail in the coffin of that thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVKyesBzDAs ( I find this a funny video )

                                      1. @critialcloudkicker Honestly whoever came up with that should have a psychiatrist check them.

                                        1. @nerthos Since I am pretty sure that the person who came up with the idea is worth a billion... There is undoubtfully something wrong with him or her that any psychiatrist would pick up on... O
