I contacted a seller that he has a bootleg version of Link to the Past for the GBA. Let's see which response I get tomorrow.

@adiwan Why would you want a bootleg version of Link to the Past for the GBA ? Isn't that like buying piracy ?

@critialcloudkicker First of all I wanted to get the game off the market, secondly I find bootleg games highly fascinating, thirdly I want it ultra cheap when I buy a bootleg (the seller had this at 30€ buy it now).

@critialcloudkicker I already own some multi-carts for the original Game Boy (thankfully they are easily spottable) so it's interesting to me how these bootlegs advanced in a way that makes me want to collect some.

@adiwan Crack it open and take pictures if you are willing to share :)

@critialcloudkicker These are my original Game Boy bootlegs. The two left ones cannot be opened without breaking anything (the Spider-Man and Fortress of Fear I have since 1991). http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/833921

@adiwan How did they manage to squeeze 32 games and what I assume would be a bootloader of some sort on that little thingie anyway ? when Nintendo had strict restriction on game-sizes.

@critialcloudkicker This cart has only 15 games. The "others" are just simply fake entries. There is a size restriction in ROM size (without any additional chips) because the CPU cannot address a lot of memory by itself.

@adiwan Soo... for all you know there are 32 games on the thingie but since the CPU can't adress them they fall in invalid memory ? Is that a possibility ?

@critialcloudkicker No. These multi-carts are all about false advertisement. In the early 90's my grandfather got me a famiclone and it had several "X games in 1" cartridges and all had false promises. Most of them was Super Mario Bros but starting in a different level.
