  1. Come on, Pokemon Go, 2016 is not a release date, it's a release year. Get specific, man. And then get launched.

    1. @scribus Heh, I was talking about this one today with a couple of pokenerds, nintendorks, and some people going "what the hell are you talking about, you mean going outside to capture pokemon ? that is crazytalk. The technology is not there yet" ... Hmm, reminds me @nerthos are you there ?

        1. @nerthos Alright, bubblewrap theory. So I brought up "Pokemon Go" to a diverse number of my co-workers and clients in the dining hall, and added that some people are expecting accidents to happen because kids are probably blindly going to chase virtual pokemon, accidents such as pedestrian on vehicle colissions and such. The result was a brilliant discussion resolving around 1 side of the table thinking that Pokemon Go should have build in safety-mechanisms, while the other side of the table was of a completely different opionion. "Look if they want to throw away their safety because of some virtual points that don't matter, I will not stop them, it's their prerogative and freedom to do so. What would you have them do, force them to wear pedestrian-airbags ?" Resulting in some pretty awesome discussions over dinner, Although everyone in the end pretty much agreed that if someone is drowning, and you can save them, you should do so... It's hard to disagee with that, no ?

          1. @critialcloudkicker Pretty much. Let people hurt themselves as long as they don't hurt others, lend a hand if it's safe.

            1. @nerthos I really wonder what this is from though... But yeah, maybe it is argumentum ad absurdum but I agree with this Santa. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/833990

              1. @critialcloudkicker Funnily enough, I was that santa once. One of my mother's relatives came home once with her kid, the thing was a beast in human shape, and wanted to play with something. I gave him a shortsword because it was one of the few things he couldn't break.

                  1. @critialcloudkicker Well, it worked. He kept swinging it around outside and hitting some old woods until he left.

                    1. @nerthos Soo... like an actual shortsword made out of sharp metal ?
