  1. I hooked up my Wii at our LCD TV. The standard settings are horrible for gaming. The input delay is atrocious, especially while playing Mega Man 9, which highly depends on fast reflexes. Also the image processing doesn't favor pixel graphics. I wish I had a Framemeister that upscales analog signals to HD with sharp pixels and minimal input delay. But that thing costs 300€.

    1. @adiwan What kind of 300 Euro device are you thinking of ?

      1. @critialcloudkicker It's called "XRGB-mini Framemeister". It's an upscaler for analog (composite, RGB, component) to HDMI converter box that upscales and de-interlaces the analog signals to HD. It has also the ability to crop the image to remove the overscan borders (especially in Mega Drive and Master System games) and to do color correction.

        1. @adiwan Ohh, that thing. Super awesome. But is it worth the price ? Well it definatly would be if you had like a museum for consoles or something. Heck you might order them in bulk at that point.

          1. @critialcloudkicker I really want one because it'll be impossible to find TVs with the necessary inputs. S-Video is almost extinct. It'll happen to composite, component and SCART in the near future. The current TVs have horrible SD upscaling that make the image blurry as if someone put vaseline on the screen.

            1. @adiwan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spoW0x3GLUE ... Ouch my wallet... Hmm, I think I'll stick with what I have for the meanwhile. Speaking of which, I want a wiimote and a sensorbar for emulation purposes. What is the difference between Wiimote and WiimotePlus ? And why would I ever need a Plus one ?

              1. @critialcloudkicker The WiiMotion Plus is a gryoscope that handles angular acceleration to make the detected motions a bit more accurate. Some games require this addon (or integrated in the Wiimote) like The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, Red Steel 2, or Wii Sports Resort.
