  1. I'm a bit sad that the Coleco Chameleon (aka Retro VGS) is dead now. I'll miss the drama that surrounded that piece of crap.

    1. @adiwan What in the name of an Atari lookalike is that thing ?

      1. @critialcloudkicker You mean the Atari Jaguar.

        1. @adiwan They pulled the Atari Jaguar ?

          1. @critialcloudkicker Ah... I thought you meant the origin of the case of the Coleco Chameleon. The Atari Jaguar case was used in many products like a dental x-ray machine. http://i.imgur.com/fnvu2vu.jpg

            1. @adiwan Hah, that is amazing. ... Still though, what is that Chameleon ? Some sort of handheld wannabeall retromachine ?

              1. @critialcloudkicker Exactly. The Coleco Chameleon was intended to bring back cartridge gaming. They wanted to bring out bug free games that don't have ever to be updated. In their original pitch they wanted to have that an FPGA chip so other systems can be hardware emulated, like the SNES.

                1. @adiwan You know, I said something like "Wannebeass handheld retromachine" and that kinda retorted in my brain for a bit. Yeah I want one of those. Although in my case I would settle for something as silly as [some quick fighting with paint.net ] ... something as silly as this http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/834639

                  1. @critialcloudkicker A PSP is not a bad choice. The emulator support isn't bad. I tested a SNES emulator but the FX chip games ran horrible. The others were OK.

                    1. @adiwan I was mostly talking about the hardware design of the thing though, and not any of the internals, but the balance of the thing in your hands, the buttons that have a "right" feel. Unlike the Ipega "clip on" controller ( http://www.usbgeek.com/products/ipega-iphone-android-bluetooth-controller ) which make the whole ordeal both feel unbalanced and laggy to me, and sometimes even downright yanky.
