  1. @mono @hfaust I think @nerthos is the only RDN person the non RDN-ers tend to follow.

    1. @archaeme Likely because I'm diametrally different to most users of this instance. It's a really old community (5 years) which has changed a lot since I registered. There are one or two more users that federate a bit though, but not as much.

      1. @nerthos I suppose that's why you're RDN's Lucifer.

        1. @archaeme That's a story dating back to 2013 when I was a mod. I had to deal with a lot of problem users, the administrator at the time was a liar and bailed out on the site for a month when things got hot, part of the staff covered up for people who should have been banned, and without the support of the staff's upper tier I was unable to get rid of the mentioned problem users who kept turning the site into a flamewar. The admin didn't like how I did things and looked for a silly excuse to demote me, and a few days after that left the site. Pardons were handed all around, another mod resigned over the whole thing, and another of the mods that the gone administrator had appointed went into meltdown and banned half the site for being my friends, which was undone as soon as the new admin came online and resulted in the perpetrator resigning. It was a mess but I picked the name because Lucifer got in trouble with God over being zealous in doing his job, which was what I was trying to do.

          1. @nerthos Reminds me of the disputes that occasionally poped up in a guild I was part of. Occasionally there were people that were well known to be roudy in the community that joined the guild. They tended to be rude in voice chat whenever they joined one.

The guild I think has been long disbanded and the game I was playing (Dragon Nest) is basically dead.

            1. @archaeme Oh, I know all about guild drama from the time I played WoW. I started one with a few cousins and friends and it grew to be huge, then one of the other big guilds disbanded due to infighting and about half the people joined mine. I appointed a bunch of officials to run it while I was off because I was getting bored of the game, but being a thing I had started with my cousin I couldn't just give ownership over, and when I stopped getting on often they started fighting eachother over who'd be the new guildmaster.

            2. @archaeme @nerthos Then I was dragged back to solve it and all these new people complained about how the guild didn't run enough high end content, and mostly focused in old dungeons and chatting, which was the whole point of it in the first place. I just quit, locked the bank, and the guild continued on as a chost until the server died.

        2. @archaeme Also to give you an idea of how stupid the whole thing was: the two guys who made a point of starting crap were one a guy who was buddy with me until I told him on skype to go to a doctor over rage issues, and the other was a meth addict.

    2. @archaeme @mono @hfaust I intend to continue federating, I just need to get my head around all the new instances and people since pre-GNU Social times.
