  1. RDN should have a function whereby, if a user posts "I'm bored", it automatically silences them and gives them a message reading "You have been silenced from this network so you can go and do something more fulfilling with your time".

    1. @thelastgherkin that doesn't seem particularly friendly. I'd suggest whenever a user types a notice-me-I'm-sad post, the welcomepony bot should post the Sweetie Belle Vector that says "wai wub woo!"

      1. @crusader8 Why not a full-blown Sweetiebot?

Sunday, 24-Jun-12 17:19:56 UTC from web
        1. @scribus because I do not understand why Sweetiebot is a thing in the first place, fandom-wise. I'm tired of seeing sweetie bot pictures and the nauseating number of references which always rear their ugly heads

          1. @crusader8 It comes from "Friendship is Witchcraft," the abridged series. Or did you know that and you meant you don't get why it caught on?

            1. @scribus Yeah, Friendship is Witchcraft in general isn't funny to me.

              1. @crusader8 Ah, gotcha then. I dunno, I find it amusing, but I watch the *real* show more, so there's that.

        2. @scribus I am 100% behind this idea.

          1. @thelastgherkin Yay, that's 2!

      2. @crusader8 Nah, I prefer my idea.

        1. @thelastgherkin of COURSE you prefer your own idea. It is your idea after all. But people don't say "i'm bored" nearly as often as people publicly sadbox themselves on here.

          1. @crusader8 The issue is that some people on here that post sad things are looking for genuine human contact. Just because the majority of them are 12 year olds begging for attention doesn't mean that the real people should be ignored.

            1. @ceruleanspark I am aware of this.

            2. @ceruleanspark also, I didn't say anything about using an image auto-response being used as a way to silence, ignore or snub post attempts. #'

          2. @crusader8 And you say /I'M/ the one saying unfriendly things.

Sunday, 24-Jun-12 17:26:42 UTC from web
            1. @thelastgherkin I didn't say anything unfriendly! Is it because I used the word sadbox? I've only tried using the word twice, so maybe I don't think it means what others know it means.

              1. @crusader8 I was going from the implication that you elaborated on here: http://rainbowdash.net/notice/1589327

                1. @thelastgherkin yeah. All I originally suggested was for welcomepony to post the image. So if I'm clarifying that my idea wasn't intended to

                2. @thelastgherkin silence or ignore, then what on Earth could I unknowingly be implying here?

                  1. @crusader8 Silence/ignoring was what I thought you were implying.

                    1. @thelastgherkin I've rustled too many feathers from a poorly communicated idea, so for that I apologize to everyone involved and now I need to cool down. #

          3. @crusader8 I'd have no problem at all for silencing people for using cutesy terms like "sadbox" when they're depressed, angsty, and/or just plain doley whiners.
