@bigponymac You were right; the guitar is very soothing in a happy way, while the piano is slightly depressing but with stronger emotion in each note.

@nutterguy My piano chops aren't all that great. Compared to my guitar playing anyway. I was just basically messing around with a chord progression and adding little fills between cord changes.

@bigponymac I need to learn to play guitar so that i can think in chords instead of notes. Thats why i can't improvise well; i cant follow chord progressions.

@nutterguy The way I look at it is it's like playing a solo. Basically I just play in the scale that the rest of the song is and somehow everything fits. *shrugs*

@bigponymac oh i know, but when i hear someone say Bb I don't immediately think Bb, D, F. I have to think about it to get it right and therein lies my downfall :P

@bigponymac That...sort of works, but I'm talking when playing a jazz head with an ensemble. Its a little more limiting then. (also i tend to be rather self-conscious)
