Most military coups are started by a general or group of generals (basically military leader really) and not with 'the people' in mind when they say something has to change.

@rarity in a country frought with revolt after revolt maybe this staged coup could be the better of them.

@rarity Like I said earlier, while I do think this was one of the worst ways to do this, if the new government manages to improve things like it claims it will and actually is working for the people like they claim they are, I will be very, very happy about it. And I'm sorry if I sounded confrontational or condescending about the whole thing, I'm just really skeptical about the whole thing because of how crappily these things have gone in other countries in the last few years.
