so, tim kaine?
Saturday, 23-Jul-16 22:27:30 UTC from web-
@tiffany another boring moderate who is a textbook example of why Bill Clinton and his influence are actually a bad thing
-
@rarity well shoot, looking into his policies he sounded like a good thing in principle
-
@tiffany that's the insidiousness of the New Democrats. They are innoffensive, bland, but still "not as bad" as the republicans despite being functionally similar to the GOP. Politicians like Clinton, Kaine, et al prevent progress.
-
@rarity interesting, thank you for the input
-
@tiffany Tim Kaine is even more baffling as a VP pick for Clinton than Mike Pence is for Trump. At least Mike Pence can get back SOME of the establishment GOP voters that Trump lost. Kaine, on the other hand, can NOT get back the Sanders supporters that Clinton's lost because he's literally just another Hillary Clinton.
-
@mrmattimation I see
-
@mrmattimation she's banking on the fact that Sandernista's vote for her anyway, and trying to appeal to the middle. Funnily enough, I think she only chose Kaine based on Trump's choice of Pence. Pence doesn't appeal to the middle, he appeals to the evangelical right.
-
@rarity Yeah but Clinton ALREADY appealed to the middle, that's the point I was trying to get at. Pence at least helps Trump's polling numbers a LITTLE BIT???? Maybe?????
-
@mrmattimation I'm just gonna vote Stein
-
@rarity I'm almost right there with you. Almost. I'm not quite there yet.
-
@mrmattimation well good news is they took Homeopathy and anti-vaxx off their platform this year so you don't even need to worry about that. And third parties are polling incredibly high this year (when they are kiwiing inlcuded in polls)
