Wonder how long it'll take europe to stop taking crap and launch a proper crusade.

@nerthos that's called genocide fyi

@nerthos Maybe once we take care of the Lizard People running things. Good luck with that, though.
-
@rarity It's not genocide if you say you're doing it for God, dummy.
-
@mrmattimation I guess that's now some people rationalize turning a blind eye to the recent islamic attacks in Europe as well. The solution to stopping the problem certainly isn't genocide, but of course the problem is much more nuanced than "all of Islam hates us and we need to destroy them completely"
-
@nerthos the last three popes have allowed Islam to exterminate Christianity innearly every middle eastern country, doubt they're gonna start fighting back now.
-
@rarity Maybe it is, but I'm always partial to replying to attacks with force, specially because the terrorists are abusing the law. I have 0 tolerance for abusing rules meant to help people to hurt others. Then again, europe is starting to have some consequences for hopping on USA's "let's buid terrorists so we can steal oil" bandwagon.
-
@moonman I genuinely don't care about the religious aspect of it.
-
@nerthos well no grape. Western imperialist attitudes created the kiwishow in the middle east, that's been fomenting since the turn of the 20th century. The West's chickens have come home to roost. That doesn't help the citizens being killed however. In my opinion, the way to deal with it is to actually support the only secular force in Syria and destroy Daesh and Assad. Once the war is over the region can be rebuilt by a secular force and then there won't be a problem of refugees.
-
@nerthos the term crusade is pretty provocative then
-
@rarity Won't happen though, the western baddies won't support a faction they don't think they can control. They only support puppet governments, which are both bad for the region they're in, and absolutely incapable of dealing with the extremists. To be honest I just want to know how long the extremists can last against the full military might of the west.
-
@moonman It's the easiest way to describe a military action that involves all the countries of a culture against a specific enemy.
-
@rarity I'm not nearly educated enough on Islam to really have an opinion on that, but as a believing Christian I do think that all of the Abrahamic faiths have some inherently harmful ideals that I think certainly don't help.
-
@nerthos the US military doesn't have a good history of dealing with insurgencies on their own turf. From the Korean War til now, they haven't won a war
-
@mrmattimation well yeah. The Abrahamic religions are the greatest threat to peace, and have been since Christianity gained power.
-
@rarity USA should by no means be in charge of an action to solve this, since they're the ones who caused it. It's like putting an arsonist in charge of putting out a fire.
-
@nerthos You gotta think like a fire to catch a fire
RDN's Lucifer likes this. -
@rarity Yet another reason why atheism is king *tips fedora*
-
@netkitteh Yeah, but hackers tend to be more drawn to the challenge of figuring out weaknesses than to cause them, so they're useful for that. Arsonists just want more fire.
-
@nerthos in my dream world we'd just give money and arms to Rojava and let them take care of it

@scribus Saxon is always good
