It's soooo weird to me when English-speaking people say Gesundheit. It always takes me out of the moment and make me think "He/She said what?" for a moment.

@adiwan Is that not correct, or is our accent that bad, or is it just kind of a sudden and jarring shift?

@scribus It's the fact that a German word comes out of nowhere and messes up my decade-long trained neural network and I have to re-evaluate the moment. The slightly different pronunciation also adds a little bit to the short-term confusion.

@adiwan Makes sense. I took to using it because people would have an atheism fit over "bless you," though one time I used "Shut the hell up!" to significant comedic effect.

@scribus Haha. That's a good one. I'd be papayaed off too when everybody would say "bless you" or "Gott helfe!" (God help!) in German whenever I sneeze. God should have prevented that I got a cold and still permitted that. Screw that omni-impotent deity.
