  1. Wear thong underwear backwards

    1. @scribus I don't see the use in doing that unless you're carrying something back there that you don't want to lose

      1. @nerthos Confuse your enemies when they try to pants you. Perplex the paramedics if you're injured. Make a girl feel special. And if all else fails, it's something to grapepost.

        1. @scribus Also useful if you're wearing a kilt and ate mexican.

          1. @nerthos This is my daily reminder that I am the only person I know that can eat Mexican food without suffering for it.

            1. @critialcloudkicker I don't think it'd do anything to me since I'm used to ultra spicy Spanish dishes, and Mexican food can't be much stronger. But I've never tried any Mexican food.

              1. @nerthos You should try it one time, as in actually from Mexico. Take care not to order from a non-reputable source though. Believe you me when I say you do not want to share a bunk with someone who got salmonella or something terrible like that. Serves that ensign right for ordering at a cart which screams "clean me FGS" just because the line was shorter.

                1. @critialcloudkicker Oh, don't worry, here you can only get it in actual restaurants or food joints. No carts or anything selling mexican food. It's not popular enough. Here you'll mostly find local food, european food, or stuff from neighbouring countries. Mexican and chinese aren't too easy to get outside the capital.

                  1. @nerthos Nono, I was refering to my old bunkmate who got Mexican food from a food stand in Mexico. Food carts in countries that sell 'abroad cuisine' are usually more whacky than the stuff we in the Netherlands call "Chinese food"

                    1. @critialcloudkicker Oh. No plans to go to mexico so I'm safe.

                      1. @nerthos I can advice you'll at least visit once before... ehmm... before Trump annexes it or something, IDK.

                        2. @critialcloudkicker I don't really see anything interesting enough there to put it in my priority list, there's other places I'd rather spend the money in.

                              1. @nerthos Yeah, most third world countries that aren't war-torn at least try to keep the place picked up even if it looks like it comes from the strone age.

                                1. @maiyannah To be fair most old stuff is higher quality than modern stuff. A few years back they replaced 1920s formations of the first metro in the country for modern ones and it was a complete downgrade, from wooden interiors to bare metal and plastic seats.

                                  1. What's the ignition temperature of metal compared to wood? @nerthos @maiyannah

                                    1. @somercet 1644ºK for iron, while the most combustible types of wood require 14 minutes at 453ºK and it goes up from there. Both temperatures are way above what's possible to happen under normal conditions. Plus this is moot as considering it has plastic seats and acrylic parts, the newer ones would ignite way faster. Also, the older ones were made of steel as well, likely much thicker considering manufacturing standards of the time, and in any case the parts that used to be made from wood are replaced with plastic in the modern ones. The wooden parts were the seating and wall/roof interior coverings, while the floors, railings, and walls were steel.
