@hawkysu I've only recently found out how bad fan fiction.net has been messing with me.
-
@hawkysu awesome! did you have problems with google docs being stupid?
-
@carcinopony Yeah?
-
@hawkysu totally. Like, if I put 3 exclamation points, it only puts in one. *shrug*
-
@calvindapanda No, thankfully, but I decided to do it just to be safe. Unfortunately, (#selfadvertising) Rejection uses a picture, so the first chapter loses a lot
-
@carcinopony That's mean of it
-
@hawkysu aww thats no good... my ff got removed from google docs... idk why, it was just a [Normal] ff...grrr now i have to go do stuff on DA
-
@hawkysu totally. It's not a massivly big deal. Just kinda, odd.
-
@calvindapanda Hmm, that gives me pause for thought, I just uploaded my new one to GoogleDocs about an hour and a bit ago. I hope it doesn't disappear.
-
@drewdle you can upload it to my site, an know it won't disappear :)
-
@calvindapanda I've tried very hard to keep my DA clear of fanfiction. One managed to sneak on because it was a request, but meh. I've thought about making a DA account for fanfiction. At least it works properly and has easy edit
-
@carcinopony Yeah, it is. I also dislike the file upload, makes it hard to edit things easily (because my comper doesn't have word... yippe)
-
@hawkysu you should try downloading it sometime...
-
@1greg1 I may end up taking you up on that. I'm going to try out FanFiction.net, as I've not been on it yet. Don't want to even touch DA what with all the trolling.
-
@hawkysu my first few were actually written in notepad before I realized I had open office. Boy that was silly.
-
@hawkysu or you could use LibreOffice, a free alternative to word
-
@hawkysu well i have nothing on my DA because i just made a new one...so i guess it doesnt really matter that much
-
@carcinopony openOffice doesn't exist. LibreOffice took it's place...
-
@1greg1 I'm not very big on updating...
-
@1greg1 Right now I just use GDocs to type everything up. Just to upload to FF and have it look it pretty I have to edit how I do author's notes in GDocs
-
@1greg1 libreoffice took the place of openoffice? huh well i never liked openoffice... if you have a mac there are TONS of great *FREE :D* processors for typing up code that i know of
-
@calvindapanda this is why I like having a Mac and PC
-
@1greg1 Depends on who you talk to. LibreOffice is replacing OpenOffice in a lot of Linux distros because LibreOffice is completely open source, GPL v3, a new fork of OpenOffice. OpenOffice has some proprietary code that Oracle won't release, and there have been rumblings about the future of the project too. So it is still alive, but who knows for how long.
-
@carcinopony WordPad great alternative to NotePad
-
@calvindapanda indeed
-
@hawkysu so I'm told.
-
@carcinopony Yes you are
-
@hawkysu crap.
-
@carcinopony Carp
