@darkw00d I agree about cadence's figure and Luna's color. Awhile Celestia does risk not fitting in well for her size I still like her design and her expressions. Her role in the finale was a big disappointment though to me in that she misjudged Twilight and was defeated quickly (not that I hold it against her. At least she tried)

@pony My headcanon is that her power is depleted. For a thousand years she did both hers and Luna's work, and had to deal with everything alone. That's why she no longer wields the elements of harmony.

@pony I think she has to step down from her duties for a while to recover herself completely. Their life cycle is completely different from normal ponies, so we don't know if they in fact do age slowly, or how much time they need to rest to full power again.

@pony I think Celestia could manage it. She was able to manage losing her sister for an indefinite period of time, and has lived longer that any other pony shown in the show, so I'm pretty sure she knows how to deal with her own mind.

@nerthos I was just thinking.. maybe Celestia sees in Twilight the potential to become immortal and as a test to see how she'd handle that immortality (and whether she'd want it), she's exposing her to friendship's influence and will see how she handles losing her friends to age.

@pony @nakkecil22 It actually makes sense seen that way. Being both Celestia and Luna ancient wielders of the Elements of Harmony, maybe the wielders become alicorns and rulers in due time.

@nerthos yup. it's been foreshadowed pretty regularly since S1 imo. Tara Strong also indicated that a feature for the show is very likely, which will probably be the canonical end. My prediction is that the conflict in the feature will be friends in Ponyville vs. destined royal duty to be Princess Twilight Sparkle. I predict the ending will…no, I won't spoil that for you :3

@darkw00d Because she was weak. her powered had all just been drained from her. She regained a bit of power by the time S2 rolled around and grew and her mane returned to normal. I'm assuming she'll be Celestia-size in S2, but they might keep her small to stress the fact that she is indeed the YOUNGER sister.

@bigponymac Luna decided to play vidya and then she was playing some fighting game and looked over to see celestia playing it, too. They were fighting and Luna's controller was unplugged and Celestia did the "to the moon" thing and then Luna looked over and Celestia was holding a sign that said "get back to work" or something in the window to her. I saw it uploaded by another guy on your feed and you just favorited it, but I know you made it.

@abigpony I was. It was for the animation class I was taking at the time. It was supposed to be a 30 second traditional animation. It was a short thing about Luna raising the moon for the first time after coming back. Got it done, but because I waited until the last minute, the quality of my drawings suffered and it turned out terrible.
