I wonder why kde-wallpapers isn't an optional dependency under Arch Linux, do I really need 73.6MB of wallpapers to be able to use my PC? :x
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:23:26 UTC from web-
@omni >73MB >Cares >1992?
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:25:36 UTC from web-
@nerthos We're talking about a desktop environment which is roughly 1GB. Of that, 73MB is over 5%. Having KPatience in the package is something I can live with, but having 5% of my system be wallpapers? I don't care that I have 300GB of diskspace, I would prefer to use it for something slightly more useful than wallpapers which I will never use.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:28:03 UTC from web-
@omni Oh god... Please buy a new HDD. I had more disk space in 1999.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:30:16 UTC from web-
@nerthos More than 300GB in 1999? Yeah, right.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:31:13 UTC from web-
@omni More than 1GB.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:32:10 UTC from web-
@nerthos I'm pretty sure I said I have 300GB of disk space and that the desktop environment was roughly 1GB, not the other way around.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:33:54 UTC from web-
@omni Oh well, I misread that then.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:34:19 UTC from web-
@nerthos Ah, that makes sense then. I don't even see how I would survive with only 1GB space (well, technically I can, but it won't be fun).
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:34:54 UTC from web-
@omni I'm surviving off 80GB now, you know on this desktop which is thankfully being replaced soon...since i'm good at space management due to my largest HDD being 220gb, how well will i cope with 2TB? =P

@omni This is bizarre.

@woona Hey, i didnt say i had much left! XD
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:38:58 UTC from web -
@woona There is an easy way to get all your diskspace back: formatting. Just format whenever you run out of space and all your space is back! It's like, infinite disk space! (With the exception of formatting causing you to lose your files)
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:41:30 UTC from web-
@omni Make two partitions, backup to D:, burn important stuff and what you want to keep to DVD, format without losing anything!
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:42:57 UTC from web-
@nerthos D:? What is that, a smiley? Real men name their partitions themselves (like /media/Windows/ and /media/externalstorage/)
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:45:41 UTC from web-
@omni My partitions are named /dev/sda1, /dev/sda2, /dev/sda3, and /dev/sda4.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:47:04 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel Well, yeah, for the Linux partitions themselves I have it named that way too, but I just choose an easier way in fstab for the Windows partition and my external harddrive :P

@omni I name my partitions by the size and use, but the only way for people to understand what I'm talking about on the internet is using the letters. http://ur1.ca/9wqkd

@nerthos >Disco local >*Starts to dance*
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:49:22 UTC from web-
@omni Generic name for disks on Windows XP. It names them "Disco local" until you rename them. On an English system they would be "Local disk"
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:51:16 UTC from web-
@nerthos That was quite obvious, being honest, I was merely joking badly. And I'm bored. I have to do maths, in my holidays. Did I mention I'm bored yet? Because, well, I am bored.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:52:32 UTC from web-
@omni Sounds like a great time to play some SK with me :D
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:53:54 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel No, I have to do maths :(

@omni Holidays? Math? That doesn't fit together.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:54:40 UTC from web-
@nerthos Due to the higher level of education I want to follow (so I can actually do a decent study), I have to gain on a year of maths before school starts, so in my holidays...
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:55:58 UTC from web-
@omni I had to do that last summer xD

@woona All this talk about Spain made me want sea food. I love Spanish food, got used to it because of my grandpa.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:50:15 UTC from web-
@nerthos my grandpa is the complete opposite, hates sea food but will take us to get anything else, hes fully italian, so he takes us to little italy in the city alot
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:52:38 UTC from web-
@iluvzfluttershy I need to try more Italian food. My grandpa was a Spanish immigrant, so I inherited some of the Spanish culture.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:54:10 UTC from web-
@nerthos trust me on this one, best place to get italian food is Chicago's Taylor Street (Little italy), or italy itself. Chicago is also a good place to get polish food too
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:56:01 UTC from web-
@iluvzfluttershy Atually, if I have to travel to another continent, I preffer to go to Italy rather than Chicago.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:56:50 UTC from web-
@nerthos so would i, just saying
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:57:15 UTC from web-
@iluvzfluttershy I'm sure there are a couple Italian communities in this country. After all, Argentina is like USA, a country completely made of immigrants.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:58:23 UTC from web-
@nerthos your from argentina? cool
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 15:00:43 UTC from web-
@iluvzfluttershy Yeah. From Buenos Aires. I'll probably try to find a good Italian restaurant next time I go to the capital. Any food you recommend?
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 15:04:04 UTC from web-
@nerthos Meatball sandwiches, Roast Beef Sandwiches, Pasta(perferrably gnocci ravioli or lasagna) and italian ice for desert (like ice cream but less dairy products)

@woona But... but... octopus! and squid! and clams! and so many other delicious little sea animals!
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:51:58 UTC from web -
@woona I wonder... what are you doing at the coast of Spain if you don't like seafood?
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:53:01 UTC from web -
@woona I know a place around here with some absolutely delicious shrimp.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:53:32 UTC from web -
@woona You should try to enjoy it. Go to Malaga an watch a flamenco show or something.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:56:00 UTC from web -
@woona Use violence then! :D
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 14:57:21 UTC from web -
@woona Wear plate armor! I once got hit on the stomach with a big stick used as a battering ram, while wearing a makeshift breastplate, and barely felt it.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 15:01:11 UTC from web -
@woona Not if you're just wearing a breastplate.
Tuesday, 07-Aug-12 15:02:15 UTC from web -
@woona Oh well. A hard leather chestpiece would help too.
