@lovebug Agh, get away, Bordness! *shakes hand*

@lovebug Bordness? Do you mean boredom or am I wrong?

@omni Yes.

@lovebug Well, seeing how late it is, you should probably be going to bed. However, if you don't want to, do you like music? And if you do, which genre(s) do you like most? Music always helps against boredom for me, so I have more than enough of it :P

@omni I like just about all music and I am listening to it now (Well not a big fan of contry)

@lovebug Ah, I see. I would love to share some but... liking "just about all music" makes it hard for me to pick what to share :P

@lovebug Pop, huh? Well, the problem with pop is that it isn't very defining. Pop just means popular, and every genre can be popular (hell, even some Screamo songs have reached pop status).

@omni "As a genre, pop music is very eclectic, often borrowing elements from other styles including urban, dance, rock, Latin and country; nonetheless, there are core elements which define pop. Such include generally short-to-medium length songs, written in a basic format (often the verse-chorus structure), as well as the common employment of repeated choruses, melodic tunes, and catchy hooks." as much as I hate to refer to wikipedia for my facts, that's a misconception I used to have as well.

@abigpony Wait, wait, wait. Pop can actually be defined as a real genre? That's new to me... (Still have issues taking it as seriously as other music genres after reading that description, though).
Thursday, 16-Aug-12 10:46:37 UTC from web-
@omni it's a genre and a term. Like i said, it confused me up until about a year ago as well.

@omni Ate you okay? :c *Snuggles*
-
@derpyshy I guess. Just annoyed that some bands I like are going on the moronic iTunes-only tour again, which means that I won't be buying anything from them as I won't pay the low-quality format iTunes distributes music under (not to speak about the fact that I have to use another OS to even run iTunes) and the only song I can find with this artist (Sleep Party People) has the bass WAY high and it's ear-shattering. Dammit, Sun Glitters, can't you hear you're ruining your own song? That bass just hurts my ears, for gods sake!
