@greydragon412 whee!! http://ur1.ca/a3kj3
-
@pony i have many http://ur1.ca/a3kkg
-
@arcanepony43 I like Pinkamea, but if there's blood, I can only tolerate a little, ponycide is too disturbing for me to enjoy. The only exception is in some songs, particularly Tarby's http://ur1.ca/a3klv
-
@greydragon412 I highly doubt there's anything I have that you don't :D http://ur1.ca/a3kmu
-
@arcanepony43 Easy: because Cupcakes is the symbol of the whole grimdark part of the fandom. if you like MLP because it is very not grimdark, then seing grimdark content can spoil your mood - especially, if MLP manages to cheer you up my showing you a nice dream world.
-
@hakupony i like mlp for that reason. i like grimdark because i like my own misery. when i'm miserable, i enjoy it. when i need to escape the world, i use ponies. and when i have too much ponies, i go there. it helps. and it's better than drugs.
-
@arcanepony43 And this is what I don't understand - how people can like misery...
-
@hakupony @arcanepony43 That's why I appreciate and use #grimdark tags
-
@greydragon412 ok. btw, i like ur avatar. and i took my Flash Drive out. loading ipod. cant get u more yet. i'll get no a NON cupcakes one.
-
@hakupony There are subjects I normally won't get anywhere near that instantly become more accessible with good writing, good style, and/or good music. A good example is the "Researcher Twilight" tumblr I just recently read through. Horrible, gruesome subject matter, but it's very well-writen, has a really good style, and the topic itself is endlessly fascinating.
-
@hakupony i grew accustomed to it after a while. instead of hating it, i embraced it. it's now a part of me. instead o hating being miserable, i now enjoy it because i felt like hating anyone or anything is wrong.
-
@arcanepony43 I believe that reveling in misery and self-loathing is a powerful distraction, but in the end it too wears off and can leave one worse than they were to begin with. I speak from personal experience. Dealing with life's issues directly, perseverance, and treating the triggers for your emotional pain are much healthier long term solutions.
-
@pony tried. failed. tried again. failed. stopped.
-
@arcanepony43 I tried and failed for over 15 years then succeeded.
-
@pony man. that must have sucked. and i used to be very optimistic. ask greydragon! now, being pessimistic, i'm not expecting to succeed. usually, i never do.
-
@toksyuryel That's why I like Tarby's music actually, plus it doesn't leave the same impact as visual stimuli so that makes it easier to enjoy.
-
@arcanepony43 It was what it was. difficult sometimes, seemingly hopeless at others.. I'm much stronger for having had the patience to wait for an end to my struggles and never entirely giving up. My thing wasn't gore really though.. it was.. well other stuff.
-
@pony same. night (actually, it's 610 here. gotta get up at 630)
Pony likes this. -
@toksyuryel @greydragon412 hehe! too true!
-
@pony i am very patient. unlike some teenagers i know #glaresatadambrony
-
@arcanepony43 best wishes in you then! If you ever need to talk I'm happy to listen.
-
@pony @arcanepony43 *to you
