  1. Hey... I'm Fluttershy. I saw this site and made an account. I hope you don't mind...

    1. @toksyuryel I'm going to make a bold guess that the email verification code PT added is glitching out and running on the accounts used to represent remote users, applying an automatic silence to them. That probably needs pulled out and replaced.

      1. @redenchilada Hm, but it's only happening with SBN users. None of the other remote users I'm following seem to have this problem. Unless it's just random and I've been lucky so far that it's just SBN users?

    2. @toksyuryel Have you already tried unsubcribing/resubscribing to them? The way OStatus works, it's the remote instance that sends things to servers it knows have subscribed, so when the site was rebuilt (twice), it would've forgotten that, even though this side still knows about the subscriptions.

      1. @bitshift I tried it the last time when it was just @basil and it didn't work because the user was silenced and I just kinda assumed it'd be the same this time. I will try that again and see what happens.

        2. @toksyuryel It might be that the whole remote user has gotten messed up from that.

          1. @redenchilada This may be possible, when I resubscribed to you and mint the avatars shown on this side did not change to the new ones you have. Resubscribing to bit worked because he'd changed his name. I'm still not seeing noticed from you or mint, but I am seeing bit's notices again because as far as this end is concerned he's an entirely new user.

            1. @toksyuryel Might see about asking widget to remove the remote user from the database and letting it be re-added, then.

              1. @redenchilada Yeah that seems to be the only solution I can think of..

                1. @minti Yeah, I think it's just flat-out confusing this site.
