  1. so NPR is doing an interview with me at 4:30 about Bronies for their podcast Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, would any of you be interested in throwing in your two cents about why you like the show.

    1. @bronyvids Wait what :O - Interviewing about bronies for Wait Wait? That's awesome! That show is incredibly fun to listen to thanks to all the obscure news. ~~ Regarding MLP though; let's go with the classics.. Quality animation; strong, developed characters; plots that are mature (not presented in the manner normal children's shows do); For me at least it brings back that feeling of watching a piece of my younger life - goes back to the days of sitting on the couch for hours watching pokemon and the like.

      1. @haganbmj Yeah that's what I was going to go for, hopefully all goes well and this gives Bronies a better image than the wired article did.

        1. @bronyvids Yeah - Perhaps try and hit on the high school - college+ crowd and the talent that comes out of there in art.

          1. @haganbmj Definitely, I mean since I make videos I'm going to talk about the art aspect especially the pictures and massive amount of content of the fandom.

            1. @bronyvids Yeah - the fandom is really what drives this. And there's an incredible amount of talent when compared to any normal fandom.

    2. @rotation @bronyvids Ooh yeah, how could I forget the sound. Both the Voice Acting and the Music are fabulous.

    7. @rainbowflash Yeah I'm 20 and am sociably normal, it will go over fine.

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 19:52:00 UTC from web
    8. @rainbowflash Yeah - that's what people want to see unfortunately. They don't care about normal people doing stuff; it's the abnormal ones that attract attention.

    9. @rainbowflash Don't start this again. Some of us like Lady Gaga.

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 19:55:09 UTC from web
    10. @rainbowflash Oh yeah - no one really cares about good people, they don't stand out as much as the failures do. People want something to look at and laugh, they want to feel superior.

    11. @rainbowflash This is acceptable! Weird Al got it right when he sang that she isn't crazy, she just performs that way.

    12. @rainbowflash I have absolutely no idea who that is.

    14. @rainbowflash Oh yeah - there's a lot of negative stuff in there - very disappointing.

    15. @rotation Huh. Neat.

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:05:16 UTC from web
    16. @rainbowflash Exactly. There's no set mold that people are required to follow.

    17. @bronyvids I'm a fan of the upbeat positivity of it. At the same time, though, they address real problems people have with each other - misunderstandings, coming to terms with a friend who's been unfriendly lately, jealousy - without unnecessarily sugarcoating things and coming off as hopelessly naive.

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:08:07 UTC from web
    18. @rainbowflash Oh geez! That's when it all hits the fan.

    19. @rainbowflash Yeah, but who really takes Faux News seriously? Okay, I mean, I know people do (I've got this one aunt...) but they're the dedicatedly close-minded sorts already, they typically go with Fox News because it goes with them already, IMO.

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:10:27 UTC from web
      1. @scribus It's Fox News for comedy and Comedy Central for news...

        1. @colfax And I think Metallica said it best... "You know it's sad but true!"

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:12:27 UTC from web
          1. @scribus I prefer to get most of my news from BBC World and Al Jazeera

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:14:13 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
            1. @colfax I tend to get my news first-hand, and let the rest of the world run itself. I'm sure some would say it's irresponsible, but since I can't really do anything about it, it just stresses me out and brings down the world's positivity level by that much more.

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:17:18 UTC from web
              1. @scribus Yeah, I go through cycles with it, from watching it constantly for a while and then letting weeks or months pass without bothering with is, which is pretty much where I am now, I watch my local stuff to make sure my town isn't on fire again and that's about it.

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:20:01 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                1. @colfax Also, more often than not, I find that the really important world-wide stuff finds its way around pretty quickly.

    20. @rainbowflash Fox did a report on Boxxy. It was god awful and inaccurate. D:

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:10:40 UTC from web
    21. @rainbowflash Yeah - It's certainly a culture by now lol. I think this is the biggest following of a show (or anything else really) I've seen in a while. It just reaches into every medium and hits on every possible subject.

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:12:08 UTC from web
    22. @rainbowflash Mega Huge.. Stuff like Pokemon, Naruro, Dragonball (to a degree) attracts a large number of fans. Pokemon has reached into a lot of other stuff. I'd say Powerpuff gained a following long after it aired, and that led to merchandise being popular. In all truthfulness, I can't think of anything else on the same scale as this.

Thursday, 16-Jun-11 20:15:37 UTC from web
    23. @rainbowflash Yeah - it died for me. After they went through countless voice actor changes and all the plots deteriorated to "oh, let's be friends - I'll help you! Quick, Team Rocket stole [Blank]!"

    24. @greydragon412 Eyup. And I'm now listening to them for the first time in quite possibly years. Really disappointed in their last two albums. Like, a lot. But, to each their own!
