@omni There usually are preowned ones for decent prices around, the shops I know are(obviously) a bit far away but if you ask at the shops who have preowned games in stock, you will get some offers. Just make sure to check amazon and eBay first for a reference. You will also need a controller and a memory card, so you can persuade them to make a better deal if you buy those as well.

@omni Or you could buy a cheap PS3 that can run PS2-games :3

@derpyshy Most PS3's can't. Also, the PS3 has the disadvantage that you could lose all your data if you just plug it out when you are done. For me, the fact that I don't have to do crab like installing games or shutting the system down is a big part of the appeal of the PS2

@omni The usual ones are 8MB - and since savegames are not too big, that is a lot of space. I have many games and I still didn't need to buy a second one. It's really basic - you plug them in and save your safegames on them. Since they are small, you can take them with you and there even is place for them in the cases for the game-DVDs
