      @mrmattimation That's why I live where the earthquakes are, no sheltering, no warning, over in minutes. Sure, the very fabric of Earth itself is attempting to kill us, but it's still only one elemental to fight. Until the downed lines and cracked pipes touch off fires, and the dams burst....

        @scribus Tornadoes aren't especially common in Virginia, and if they are they're usually not very powerful. It's because parts of Hurricane Florence finally made their way up here (after I'm already back from evacuating, hilariously enough) and it's hitting a different weather system head-on so the weather is all appleed for the time being.
