1. @nerthos because if it is. I'd say having a presitend who says children die because the mothers have cavities, that platypus milk is an amazonian product and is is constantly saying he supports the military dictature is not not my biggest dream

    1. @mushi Yeah, wanted to have an opinion from someone actually there rather than second hand stuff from the news. I take it he's fairly ridiculous then?

      1. @nerthos ridiculous doesnt even describe it. once they asked him what was his plan to improve improve sanitation. He said his plan was to make a familiar planning program for the areas with poor sanitation so they'd have less children (?).

Also, his plan to reduce corruptions is no more contcrete than simply "fighting corruption".

        1. @mushi Let's make him governor of California!

      2. @nerthos there was on day he was asked about banks. The journalist said that a problem brazil had in compariso ton USA, for example, was that there was way too few banks here and asked him how he intended on changing that. He said "making it easier to create new banks, I guess" and when asked how he just said "i dont know, why are you asking this to a former captain of the army?"

      3. @nerthos he never really answer anything they ask him, and brainwashed people who jumped into the ant-PT bandwagon to just assume that everyone who points his flaw is communist. Includint the "the economist" newspaper and French's extreme right.

      4. @nerthos this time i'm worried for real. Autorithariam government and the feear of a made up communist threat is the exact same recipe for the 2 dictatures we already had. And his Vice president, an Army Major is also openly favorable to the military dictature, so even is he got impeached it would make no difference

Sunday, 14-Oct-18 13:49:57 UTC from web
        1. @mushi Well, it's unlikely it'll get to that point, the political climate is different now than it was decades ago when that stuff happened. At most they'll change the legislation a bit towards what they see as better, but it'd be extremely hard for any government to shift into a military dictatorship. Still, it does seem they're getting there without much thought into what they'll actually do once they're the government which is slightly more worrying. I'd say whether it ends up being an ok government or a disaster depends entirely on the ministers and advisors that they pick, and how they translate the concepts of "fight corruption" and "don't be communist" into practice. Responsible ministers would have more than enough room to work while individuals that just want to take advantage of the situation can also cause quite a bit of trouble if they say the right words to those above them.

          1. @nerthos he will most likelly just be a puppet of his goverment team as him shimself doesnt know anything. he constanly answers "i dont know" when asked anything about anything. All the other candidates had solid purposed regarding the problems brazil is right now, different from him, whose purposes are to all as good as the ones i told you. but since the he built his whole polictcal carreer on saying everything is to blame on communists and other monirites, people go straihgt to him so they can assume everything is other people's fault, not his.

Monday, 15-Oct-18 20:12:18 UTC from web
          2. @nerthos he also suport that bcause of the polictical crysis peopel need to chose between having rights and no jobs or hvign jobs and no rights, but revuses to stop getting housing assistance (despite owning a house in brasília), personal assistance , phone assistance, travel assistance and so on (all of this sum up to hundreds of thousands of R$, plus his own salary), so he is a straight up hypocritical. and his reason to keep getting all those assistances while removing all the ones the regular people get is that he doesnt want to lose what he already has

ALso, when asked what he did with 40K of housign assistance is he already had a house his answer was "i use it to eat people"

            1. @mushi also, i will probably lose my scholarship since he is against it and his economistmain plans are privatizing everything

Monday, 15-Oct-18 20:27:30 UTC from web
              1. @mushi because aparently some thousands of people making 2K a month to help the country's dacaying science harms the economy much more than many thousands of policticians making over 100K a month of assistances to fatten their accounts on sweedish banks

Monday, 15-Oct-18 20:29:38 UTC from web
                1. @mushi also, he is a regious fanatic, and wants brazil to stop beign a secular country

                2. @mushi and also wants to remove brazil from fthe UN becuase they're a buch of communists (yes, communists again)
