  1. Today I had a "F you" moment with a colleague and his developed domain specific modeling language. In my opinion it's a programming language in disguise and not a purely descriptive language. I showed him a flaw at one point but he argued vehemently that the flaw can be ignored. But in the editor the usage was allowed as well as in the documentation (that feature that caused the flaw was only mentioned in passing, and the documentation as a whole is poorly managed). After my vacation I will insist on switching to another project.

    1. @adiwan I hope your colleague was flabbergasted at least.

      1. @drinkingpony He was very smug like it was supposed to be that way.

        1. @adiwan Just remind him that you can program robotic arms and can actually remove that bug that crawled up his orifice and died.

Mostly smacktalk ofc, but I reckon you can get a giggle out of it.

          1. @drinkingpony I'm already extremely heated. Having a smacktalk might push me over the edge. Whatever. I have a month of vacation and don't want to think about work anymore.

            1. @adiwan I feel like I should wish you the best of luck getting to your vacation safely. But I also do not want that to sound patronising. Not sure how to do that really. So I'm just saying it like this I guess.

              1. @drinkingpony I'm staying at home and play with my toys (CNC router, 3D printers, videogames) and do some recreational programming.
