  1. I was sooo optimstic that everything would be over sooner. I was thinking it'd be like SARS and MERS when it comes to the global impact. Serious but much more contained. How foolish I was.

    1. @adiwan Seriously, I didn't have expectations of the feds, but I had thought that CA would have put in more effort... I guess hosting like half the nation's population made that a pipe dream, though.

      1. @scribus Comparatively I live in a quite dense area with a lot of 3 or 4 story buildings on average. My city has a population of about 250000 and yet "only" about 50 people have died and 2600 were infected and a daily rate of 40 new cases. On the other hand the distribution of vaccine is abysmal. The amount my region (the wider area) got is almost nonexistent compared to others.

        1. @adiwan I'm not even dreaming of getting my vaccine before my bday (June). Hope things straighten out quicker for you.

          1. @scribus Well... It's enough time to be sure that no one has turned to a Cronenberg monster by side effects of any vaccine.

            1. @adiwan True! But maybe that means I'll miss out on my Toxic Avenger super-transformation...

                1. @adiwan Why, that combined with the Cassandra ability of paying attention and pattern recognition, that is quite the might!
