  1. Loss prevention's rules of engagement were that as soon as they're out the door, you can't even chase them, so even though there was a big ol' horn calling attention to you, they didn't even get time to see you.

    1. @scribus Our most frequent shoplifters are teenagers grabbing White Claw and just walking out with them, but they’re really, really bad at it. They seem to think I’m literally going to hunt them down, so if they even think I know they’re stealing that drop their papaya and leave. Just the other night a kid was walking toward the exit with a case in hand and I wasn’t really paying attention, but he thought I saw him so he pretended he was just walking over to the produce to get something. Once I realized what was going on I just kinda stood there until eventually he walked back into the aisles, hid the goods, and left without making a further issue.
