@dlcentaur The way it works best is to silence them and delete their posts. It's best to silence because deleting the users removes the IP from the list of banned ones, so they can just come right back.

@dlcentaur Silence and delete all their posts. It hogs up the DB but it adds their IP to he RegisterThrottle banlist and removes their ability to reregister with a new spammer account.

@minti What we need is a plugin to specifically allow IP bans to be set, instead of the solution RegisterThrottle uses. :T

@redenchilada It's actually been on my todo list to code one since forever, mainly cause it only tracks the IP they registered with. If they have a dynamic IP and it swaps between the time they register and the time we ban them, they can just make a new account.

@ceruleanspark Unfortunately, there is a good deal of truth in that. Not all of the users dislike main, but a good deal of the most frequent users and Mods do. :/

@dlcentaur It was some really stupid argument between some users on main and RP (I think it started with thatonepony and moonprincess?) that eventually got a lot of people who normally stuck to RP coming over here to argue. Lelouch (or whoever he was) kept yelling at other users, shouting "butthurt" and such over and over, and after one too many warnings I straight up just silenced the guy. But then he registered a new account to tell me how horrible and biased of a mod I was or something, and ban evasion results in a permanent suspension, so. (I think you can tell by my change in tone over the course of this notice how I feel about the whole thing)

@dlcentaur He was saying it to other people. It was just that he didn't listen when I told him to stop. I wouldn't have been angry about the whole thing except that he decided it was because I'm apparently a biased mod. (Which I won't confirm or deny, but it was unrelated to that particular action.)
