  1. If Celestia banished Luna in the moon for 1000 years in the S1 premiere and then they jointly banished Sombra for 1000 years for the S3 premiere, what the cherries is the chronology to this?

    1. @abigpony I was wondering that myself. Did the episode explicitly say 100 years or was it like "over a thousand years"?

      1. @pony perhaps it was an ambigious 1000 years ago. like around 1000. Cause I mean just last week... (even though I mean a month ago, ya dig?)

        1. @firestormdangerdash @pony It could be a cycle that repeats itself... I mean just how many big things seem to happen "a thousand years ago"?

          1. @neurario So far, in the current timeline, we have Discord's defeat (before/right at the beginning of the rule of the sisters) then Nightmaremoon's defeat (1000 years exactly from the first episode), then King somber's defeat (supposedly 1000 years ago from the time of the s3 premier). What likely happened is that King Somber was defeated then NMM rose and was defeated.

            1. @pony AND somehow a hint of the king corrupted Luna thus... TOO THE MOON!

              1. @firestormdangerdash they could be connected, yeah, but I'm pretty sure we'll never see that in canon. :3

                2. @pony usually canon stuff isn't striaght and narrow. You need to interpraite a bit sometimes. So if they dont clear up the whole "everything happened exatly 1000 years ago" It would make sense as why Luna got that extra grudge after the run in with the King Smoker.

                  1. @firestormdangerdash !eeyup I think so too personally. I mean it's not likely a coincidence. Alternately, it could have been Luna, slowly turning into NMM at the time, who maybe inadvertently triggered the whole King Somber thing before she and Tia stepped in to stop it.

        2. @firestormdangerdash That's the only good explanation I can think of @thatonestocking yeah. That seems about as likely as NMM getting on parole after teh first year or two of her banishment and Luna helping in the mean time.
