Hey I just noticed something about the first episode, around the 20:30 mark when Nightmare Moon first appears you get a quick cameo of the CMC. Obviously you wouldn't know who they are when first seeing the show :)

@ignaesia Correct! But let's pretend that they didn't have a chance to learn each other's names so that "Call of the Cutie" still makes sense. :)

@thegherkinprincess makes sense them meeting eachother since all of Ponyville was gathered there, guess they didn't get to speak to eachother like you said or the episodes arent in complete chronological order ;)

@ignaesia: Yepperoni! Even though they technically shouldn't be the CMC at the time so much as vague acquaintances BOUND BY FATE~. Similar to how Pinkie Pie shouldn't know about Sonic Rainboom's events in Griffon the Brush Off, but that's exactly what she's describing to Twilight. Though in her case, she has Pinkie Sense. And I suppose in the CMC's case, that's a pretty significant celebration, so it makes sense for the older ponies to bring their kids... But then why do Rarity and AJ just totally abandon them?

@retl Apple Bloom has Big Macintosh and Granny Smith and the rest of the Apple family to look after her. As for Sweetie... maybe she went with Scootaloo?
