Welp. Someone just resigned over the state of the IT infrastructure here. I think I'm boned.

@ceruleanspark Uh oh! D:

@dlcentaur I called it last week though. You can't neglect the core infrastructure for the best part of a decade, refuse to upgrade and increase demand all at the same time without something breaking, and it just so happens it was a member of staff.
-
@ceruleanspark Hmm. So what are you going to do, then?

@dlcentaur To be honest? Given my compromised mental state, probably flip out completely.

@ceruleanspark @dlcentaur XP I guess I'd put in writing how the expectations being placed on the infrastructure are unreasonable given the current circumstances and what options exist for a solution that would cost the least, that way they couldn't pin it on me.

@pony It is in writing. From me, my assistant AND a third party independant. So long as the problem can't be pinned on management, nobody cares.
-
@ceruleanspark if you've sent the assessment to the people able to make a change then it's their problem imo, even if they deny it.

@ceruleanspark Before you start doing that, relax for a moment. If nothing can be done, then let the situation go. There is no use stressing over something that you can't control.

@ceruleanspark aren't you fairly new to your position?

@pony Not particularly. Not that I'd get any slack if I was.
