    4. @juicyorange E17 is a window manager (technically they call it a desktop shell because it's got a file manager bolted onto it, but I'm not going to stop calling it a window manager because of that). The toolkit you're probably referring to is EFL which E17 runs on top of.

    5. @juicyorange It doesn't replace your OS. Based on you thinking it does I'm going to guess you're using Windows in which case E17 isn't relevant to you as it doesn't work on Windows.

    6. @juicyorange Pretty far off! Anyway, it would replace whatever your current WM is (not relevant on the Mac, on Ubuntu it'd be whatever Ubuntu's default is). Things probably would not end well on Ubuntu as its probably got a DE going on and Ubuntu likes to tie lots of critical system functionality into the DE and default WM, so replacing it would break all of that. I don't honestly know what would happen if you were to try it there.
