Ok, I think I'm gonna try Linux, just to see what it's like. @omni Wat Distro?

@zeldatra Oh dear. Well, I know I'll be leaving you with a bad impression of Linux if I recommend you a completely "Free" distro, so I won't do that. I am also fine in assuming you want things to just work out-of-the-box and be pre-configured, right? In that case, I would recommend Linux Mint personally.

@omni It's fine, you can talk abound free beer. The only one who'll try to stop you is red.

@zeldatra Well, I know you use Skype and stuff, which is not Free as in Freedom, so I should give you something which supports such proprietary software out-of-the-box or you'll be like "Ugh, NONE of my applications run on this stupid Linux thing!". But yeah, try Linux Mint: http://linuxmint.com/download.php (I would personally go for Cinnamon, MATE is a desktop based on the old-fashioned GNOME2 which was loved by geeks but found dull and boring by others. Cinnamon is a bit more interestingly-looking as well.

@zeldatra I'd go with Mint or Ubuntu.
