  1. The only bad thing about IRC they don't give you a lot of room before it calls you for flooding. I accidentally did it twice in the year I was role-playing there :/

    1. @whiterose It depends on the server. Where I frequent, the channel bot's "7 lines in 7 seconds" kick triggers long before the network flood protection does. (Though Esper's missing a few other features that other networks have, too :/)

      1. @redenchilada I had 15 cuts before it called me for a flood, then I had to do the end from memory when it started letting me post again.

        1. @whiterose the end was 10 more cuts lol

        2. @whiterose I dunno, unless you're writing novels in each line. IRC has a ~200 character limit on lines and most clients will ungracefully cut a line into multiple if you go over that limit.

          1. @redenchilada Yeah, that is probably correct. I never counted. But with mIRC it has a cut script and when your character count gets too high and the screen is covered it goes over to flood control. I didn't even know I had been cut because of flooding till I looked back at my post.

            1. @whiterose semi-realistic Wolf Role-play. I played as a Yearling named Drago (Pronounced Dray-go) who was a bit obstinate and at first had a problem with authority. He ended up being punished and unable to do anything but his punishment about two days worth. lol
