@thelastgherkin Junebug is at least named in the show that promotes their toyline, as are several other ponies. Any pony with a line in the show has a good chance of being more popular than one without, speaking of the target demographic as well as not..

@pony According to their model, they'd make less. The model predicts that bronies are generally cost insensitive and will buy the boxed set and a separate Lyra. Bundling Lyra in the box means they lose that extra hypothetical brushie sale.

@pony It's not Hasbros fault that a statistically significant portion of the fandom has more money than sense. Look at custom plush prices, or ebay auction prices for "rare" blindbags. Even if hasbro weren't trying to rip us off, we're more than adequately doing it to ourselves.
