I thought the finale had serious problems with its pacing and tone. It felt like the first half was supposed to be an entire episode which had its ending deleted and replaced.
-
@ceruleanspark That's because it was. M.A. Larson's script was a two parter. The editing team cut it down to one episode.
-
@toksyuryel @ceruleanspark it's so odd to me. I usually pick up on things like that especially when it seems obvious to so many others, but I really had no issue at all with the transition between #s3e13
-
@toksyuryel Doesn't that contradict Meghan Mcarthy's statement that the episode is part of a 3 part set that will be resolved next season?
-
@ceruleanspark No.
-
@pony I'm with you there
-
@neurario Maybe I was just so dazzled I didn't notice it xD
-
@pony I didn't have a problem with it either. Honestly I didn't have a problem with anything in this episode. There was too much going on constantly for me to care.
-
@toksyuryel I feel the same! Without the music i don't know how it could have flowed nearly as well or done each scene justice.
-
@pony It's a narrative trick when you have to convey a lot of information in a short span of time and a simple montage isn't enough to do it. It's also really hard to pull off well when the entire episode has to be that. DHX really showed off their impressive skills with this one.
-
@toksyuryel That they certainly did. Consequently it's my new favorite episode.
