  1. Good afternoon RDN. I am having a little bit of a discussion here with someone who has 3 Boros Recruit's in play ( 1CMC red/white goblin ) and plays a "rally the righteous" card. Claiming it to make 1 of his recruits a 3/1 monster till end of turn, and the others 5/1 till end of turn. I am trying to explain that that is not how radiance works because it states "each creature that shares a color with it" and not "for each color target shares those creatures get +2/+0. To make matters more complicated, I have a Glory Seeker on my side of the field with a Guildscorn Ward ( Enchanted creature has protection from multicolored ) attached to it. I do not think my Glory Seeker gets the +2/+0 for the source of the spell ( Rally the Righteous ) is multicolored. # the rules are not really easy from time to time :/

    2. @critialcloudkicker Anyway you're right about the first part. It states the conditions required to recieve the bonus, but it doesn't specify it stacks if more colours mach, as such it's assumed there's no such stacking bonus.

      1. @nerthos I say hooray for my ability to read and understand :) ... Sadly this does not help me if my opponent is using stuff like "Forecast" in my turn. Took me 3 turns of illegal usage for me to catch up and ask "heey, wait a minute, is your upkeep in my attack phase ?" ... excuse me my derp, it was weekend :D

        1. @critialcloudkicker Well, I really don't know what forecast does or how the game is played. I never got into it. I just answered with the information you provided.

          1. @nerthos oh, I see. Well if you are really curious you can check this one out http://www.essentialmagic.com/rules/turnstructure.asp . the problem was that "forecast" was used during my attack phase, while it can only be used during your own upkeep step.

            1. @critialcloudkicker I may start playing once I get more free time. I know where to get cheap cards.

              1. @nerthos Hmm, do share please ? I kinda want to go play casually with the whole "extort" mechanism, and the preconstructed white/black deck from gatecrash does not give me a good feeling. ( orzhov syndicate )

                1. @critialcloudkicker My places would literally be useless to you since shipping would more than compensate the reduced price. Also it's kind of a lottery getting good cards from there. Remember we live in different continents and use different money.

                  1. @nerthos Yea, I know, still I was wondering on whether you were talking about a website or a store nearby.

                    1. @critialcloudkicker It's a website, but it deals in local transactions, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, etc. Kind of like an Ebay.

                      1. @nerthos We have "Marktplaats.nl" here. There seems to be a next batch MTG cards up semi daily. It is pretty much Ebay for Holland. But seen as I have a huge collection of cards I am really hesistant to go buy 1500 extra cards for a mere 100 euro ( 132 USD ) because I am sure if I would do that, one day I will surely drown in cards. ( like one of my friends ) . Still that money for that amount of random cards seems like a real bargain.

                        1. @critialcloudkicker In your place I would buy it asap, and then sell them back individually or in sets. You would make a profit without any doubt.

                            1. @critialcloudkicker If I understood any of that text, I'd buy it myself.

                            2. @critialcloudkicker I don't have the free time now, but in a couple months, maybe we could do bussiness. I'd send you the money, you'd buy the batches of cards and ship them to me. Then I sell them and you get a fraction of the earnings.

                              1. @nerthos you were kidding right ?

Monday, 25-Feb-13 16:46:04 UTC from web
                                1. @critialcloudkicker Not at all. 1500 cards for 65 euro, with shipping maybe 100. That's ~ar$800. I can sell each at an average of ar$5-10, which is an expected earnings margin of about ar$8000, approximately €1000 per batch. But I need the free time to catalogue and sell them, which I don't have ATM.

                                  1. @nerthos Cool. I'll look into buying cheap cardbatches on this side then. I can always make it into 6 birthday presents ( or more ) in case it goes horrid.

        2. @critialcloudkicker Hey, it took me a full week before I realised I'd actually won a match with entirely illegal play. (Literally every point of damage was inflicted illegally)

    3. @critialcloudkicker Yeah, they'd only get a +2. It would explicitly state if the effect were to stack. Yes, protection prevents you receiving the buff. (though if it were a global buff, it would not)

Monday, 25-Feb-13 15:40:44 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
      1. @ceruleanspark Well, technically it is a global buff affecting all white and/or red creatures.

        1. @critialcloudkicker A target was declared. It's not like Wrath of God where you just slap it on the field and laugh manaically.

          1. @ceruleanspark http://mtg.wikia.com/wiki/Protection ... the alinea that starts with a T ( for target ) makes me uncertain.
