@redenchilada I've gotten to the point, where if I see a picture of Scoot-a-loo on the internet, I think it's you or I relate it to you. I wouldn't doubt that your life will be like the movie Black Swan, where you are slowly going to turn into Scoot-a-loo.

@nerthos It's the same thing when I debate people like @lyrica about Sonic games. I firmly believe Sonic Adventure 2 is the best Sonic game, but some people don't agree. I don't even have reasoning for my love of the game(well, maybe a little), but I'm blinded by its sentimental value to me, so it's pointless to argue about it.

@scoot I enjoyed both those movies, but if there isn't a Toy Story movie nominated, it's a toss-up for those judges. They don't care about animation, they care about how much they personally enjoyed a movie. Most of those judges probably aren't big gamers.

@starlynx But outside of cute video game references it had a more original story and most importantly much more interesting characters. Compare Brave to other Pixar films and honestly a lot of it's characters are lazily designed and rather disappointing meanwhile everyone in Wreck it Ralph stands out and has a lot of charm. It's not just the little things it's the big things too.

@scoot I agree with you 100%. But you have to think about the judges. Some of them see Pixar and go, "WINNER!". It's at a point right now where Pixar has monopolized the animation business, not in the idea that it bought out competitors or put them out of business, but it just has had so much popularity and success that people don't think otherwise.

@starlynx I'm glad you agree, I just have to say that in that case the Oscars ARE bogus because the better film didn't win. Also it's strange that Disney would lose out to anyone on an animated feature, kind of sad.

@scoot Well, you can't expect any awards show to be the perfect system. If the judges or voters are human, there is persuasion and error. Something we have to deal with.

@scoot Wreck-it Ralph wasn't that great. Like, it was good, but I enjoyed Brave more as an actual story. I only really enjoyed Ralph for the videogame shoutouts tbh

@scoot Ralph just didn't have the same kind of lasting appeal that Brave had to me. I still enjoyed it. But I also really liked Brave.

@redenchilada I finished watching Ralph and wanted to go watch it again just to be surrounded by the characters and the universe they inhabit, meanwhile Brave is one of the only Pixar films to ever NOT manage that. It's not a bad film, it's a bad PIXAR film. Totally different quality rating.

@widget And I am a huge Pixar buff, it's basically my dream job and I am going to go and do an animation course this year and I STILL don't like Brave that much, I left the cinema feeling pretty meh about the whole movie. Also yes, Cars 2.
