  1. Good question! I really want to say I like them all. I don't mean to imply hate on any of them. If I were to pick from the main six it would be AppleJack. Outside of the cast would be Lightning Dust.

    1. @5ofclubs Welcome to RDN! Where we actually never talk about ponies... But we got sexy women! Ok no I lied... Or did I? I'm not even sure.

      1. @bowandlyre Never talk about ponies? Sounds like utter madness to have a website to talk about ponies when no ones here to talk about it in the first place. I'm not of age to have proper thoughts in regards to women, so it only being the ponies I have interest in talking about.

        1. @5ofclubs You do realize I was kidding right? We talk about ponies but just rarely, we need more people like you who talk pony so you're a welcome adition to the site I guess.

          1. @bowandlyre Excuse me as of being new to the site I wanna play it safe. (Cautiousness indeed.) I read all the rules in full, but they can only tell me so much. Is moderation of these strict or lax? I wish to adapt as soon as can be. I've been to sites that lay down rules that are solid like rock and yet the moderators are no where to be found. Mistakes are bound to occur, but I hope to amend as just. Is there some place like a forum with active discussion about the show? Any pointers you can give me? I don't mean to burden you with my unfamilarity on this website. I do thank you in full.

            1. @5ofclubs You'll be fine. I've been warned more times than I can count and I've only been banned once.

              1. @zeldatra That is excellent to know. The idea of being banned floors me. I don't mean to brag, although I don't see how exactly it can be seen as some kind of an acheivement (something more of a pity I suppose?) that I have never been banned from any of the websites I've ever been to.

            2. @5ofclubs Don't worry I think you'll be just fine. You get warned if you did something out of place and as for forums that speak pony I wouldn't know considering the entire year i've neen on this site has been on the main timeline!

              1. @bowandlyre Well, if it is boiled down to a timeline then no wonder the pony gets halted to a crawl. Variety and space helps conversations flow than constricted. I hope I'm not getting the false idea that this is the only place for posting.

                1. @5ofclubs it's like Twitter. One timeline. You can subscribe to people of you like, and have a timeline that's just people you subscribe to, but the posts will still show up here.

                  1. @rarity Ahh, well I've never been on Twitter before. Nor Facebook either, but the subscribing I take it is similar to that of Youtube I believe.

                    1. @5ofclubs it's similar in name only. It's more like a follow on Twitter, in that you will see their posts on your personal timeline.

                2. @5ofclubs nah. As the official Pretty Purple Princess Public Princess Timeline, it is my self-appointed duty to inform you the public timeline is to turn our silly trivial tweets into an ever-flowing discussion, most of which tend to devolve into arguments on why people like Fluttershy so darned much.

                3. @5ofclubs Generally, if you want to talk about a specific subject, groups are good for that. You can make or search for a group to join, and then post to it using the !groupname format (or just go to the group's page). These posts will also go to Public to get extra attention from people outside the group.

                4. @5ofclubs And timelines. The public timeline is where everything posted to the site (aside from DMs, which are private) go. Each member also has a Personal timeline consisting of themselves, people they've subscribed to, groups they've joined, and posts @directed at them. In addition, each group has its own timeline visible on its page, and tags also have their own timelines. If you want to quickly check who's spoken to you recently, you also have a Replies timeline that you can check. Personal, Replies, and your Inbox (where you can read and send DMs) are all accessible from the top bar, filed under your username. (Sorry if I sound like I'm drilling things in too hard; I just wanna make sure you don't get lost here.)

            3. @5ofclubs here's a pointer: if you're worried about being banned, think of why you would worry about being banned. What repeatable behavior of yours tends to lead to your scrapes with other websites' moderations? Is it your coarse language? Is it your inexplicable compulsion to post nsfw content? Or is it perhaps your need to tell the moderators that rarity is best pony? Either way, you'll be fine as long as you act like a decent human being with manners. Also, Rarity is best pony.

              1. @publictimeline Rarity is best pony and Scootaloo is best chicken

              2. @publictimeline No, fear of being banished is only half the issue. My concern for the strictness or laxness is that I'm curious to know how fine/foul the community is, but I must admit that with the people I've talked to so far that the very idea of it being pure nonsense. I must say Rarity is of one of my favorites. I do have some qualities of wanting to be perfect like hers. My opinion of her from the start of first watching the show was that she'd be the drab overly-female character, but over the months she has grown on me and that my first impressions have been long dispelled from my opinion of her.

                1. @5ofclubs I was happy she didn't get an episode in season 3, because she's starting to become more and more like Luna. That is, too much of her can be a bad thing.

Monday, 08-Apr-13 01:10:51 UTC from web
                  1. @publictimeline I beg to differ. I feel that she could have had at least one episode. After all she hasn't had one for more than a year, and I think the interest of her amongst the fandom is a bit slipping. Then again there were some nice Rarity scenes throughout season 3.

                    1. @5ofclubs her small bits is what I'm emphasizing here. The humor behind her character is much more realized when she's contrasted against the rest of the group. Kind of like Pinkie Pie, except without being boring and predictable.

            4. @5ofclubs Also, rules. We're generally pretty lax and will give you plenty of warnings if you're violating any. The only bans that get handed out are for people who repeatedly do something after being told by staff to stop. (Also, you'll see the # hashtag thrown around a lot. Nobody is ever serious when they use that; actual bans don't have a tag.)

Monday, 08-Apr-13 01:09:25 UTC from web
              1. @redenchilada I remember when I first thought I was actually silenced when you threw the # tag at me. I was like "no one can see my posts to reply!" Then it turned out that really nobody liked me and that's why noone replied.

              2. @redenchilada I suppose the common hater will pop up every once and a while trying to get a kick out of someone. Are mods quick to tell when someone's made an account for such a purpose by banning them?

                2. @5ofclubs Generally, they disappear soon after joining. (Sometimes we like to play around with them, though c:)
