        @rarity The site uses JS to highlight user mentions and the script probably wasn't loaded right or something.

        @rarity The cache keeps static content (ie scripts) from being rerequested every time you change a page or refresh. This also means that you won't get changes to the scripts (ie bugfixes) right away. Clearing your cache (ie through a Ctrl-F5) forces the browser to reload every asset used by the page. It's the same reason you have to Ctrl-F5 if we alter the CSS in some way.
