@theawesomepony What I was trying to say before my Keyboard derped out. I like my old style big 80GB, I cannot stand the slimline. It's so plain and boring and no motion buttons.. ERGH! Would rather spend money and keep my relic then get a hyperdrive gizmo.

@rachaelisonfire That's sort of how I wound up here, too (@princessluna mentioned it; this sort of thing seems to happen often, and I'm occasionally teased -- in jest, of course -- for being her "stalker"). Sort of lurked a while, then went ahead and signed up. Did you do the same, or jump right in? As for stuff in common, Mmm, sometimes I wonder about that,as far as things go with me here, as a lot of gamer talk goes on, to the point of where it seems to be a strong focus, and I'm not much of one at all. But at least there's always ponies. :) And, you're right: it's always nice to meet people. :)

@astra I looked around a bit first too but after a few days I decided I might as well as it seemed friendly :) and yeah i've noticed that quite a few gamers are on here but that doesnt effect me as much to be honest as i am a gamer myself but as you said new people is always good whether or not interests are common as you can always learn new stuff :)

@rachaelisonfire Well, sounds like you'll fit right in here. :) Though I do recommend bringing a rolled-up copy of the Equestria Daily, Sunday print edition, just in case some pony needs an attitude adjustment. Overall, though, it's been a nice bunch so far. :)

@leonkfox Ha! I'm actually familiar with him and like what I know, though that's for his charity work, not his character persona. Don't know much of anything about that. But, no, I'm just a fan of whacks with a rolled-up newspaper when someone gets out of line.

@astra I really can't stand him, sure the charity work is nice, but it's clearly just for good PR for WWE since he's the poster boy, his matches are almost all booked in exactly the same way, his character is way too green and borderline flawless, and he's pretty much wooden on the microphone #RantOver :P

@leonkfox Yes, like I said, I wouldn't know anything about his WWE character. And poster boys and girls for organizations -- especially competitive ones -- tend to be overrated, or at least labeled as such (see Danica Patrick, Anna Kournikova, David Beckham, Lebron James, pre-dogfighting Michael Vick, Michelle Wie, Marion Jones, etc.). But I do have to respect anyone who turns that fame into doing something genuinely good away from the hype. I guess part of that is having been involved with marketing and organization of non-profit special events, many years ago. I'd deal with celebrities considered to be at the top of their profession who were just going through the motions for some PR, and then I'd deal with ones who were genuinely wanting to use what they'd built, or had been given, to give back. People like that, regardless of their status as a performer or poster boy/girl, I have to respect.
