  1. I really don't like the local group, honestly. They rarely get together and if someone proposes an event everyone's complaining about how they might have to actually drive/get a ride to get to the event. Plus the FB group admin spends all his time advertising BFF and trying to make money off of that and doesn't give anything else the smallest lick of attention. There's no sense of community between the pony fans around here. :/ !austinbronies

      1. @pony No one would join though. The thing is everyone knows that group is the Austin group for bronies and nobody cares enough to join another.

        1. @redenchilada I think it depends on the number of fans in your area who agree with you. If you set up a competing group and kept it active you probably could overtake the main group eventually. You might even try making it more specifically an Austin bronies meetup and discussions group to distinguish it from the main one which acts as neither if I understand correctly. Fight the machine!
