  1. @jessi Simply because the internet allows them to do so

    1. @shadowfire @northernnarwhal @mushi Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was out with some friends, but always seems that people just like treating me like I'm stupid or inexperienced over the Internet, even though I'm much older than them.

      1. @jessi It's a shame that people have to act like that. Unfortunately, there will always be people like that in the world. I would like to think that we're all mature on this site and that sort of behaviour won't happen here, but if it happens elsewhere the best I can say is to just take the moral high road and ignore it.

        1. @northernnarwhal @flamingpandaomg @neurario I try to ignore people like that on the Internet, but I find myself trying to explain things to them that they refuse to take in. I'm personally sick of people who won't listen to advice and explanation of how things work (especially life things). What is it with some of the younger generation nowadays? They seem to think that they know everything and that the older crowd and their parents are stupid and clueless? We aren't! In fact, we probably know a lot more than they do about how the world works.

          1. @jessi I'd love to say that that's kids for you, but considering I'm 'technically' a part of this generation (21), I can't really. My generation's just brainless in general. Makes me lose faith in humanity.

          2. @jessi I wouldn't take it too personally. I acted that way a lot towards my parents when I was younger, but as I got older I grew to respect their wisdom and insight. If you're right and you know you're right, that's all that counts.

            1. @northernnarwhal True, but also taking in what other people know into consideration is a sign of respect, rather than outright rejecting them. Sometimes other people can be right and you can be wrong. I just believe in having an open mind and open ended conversations.

      2. @jessi *hugs* People in general are stupid. I'm sorry you have to deal with them
