Ok. By the end of day two, I know how to model, light scenes properly, create keyframes, use tweens, color objects, and toon shade them. You know, maybe I should have followed these video tutorials properly in the first place rather than try to figure it out myself.

@zeldatra there's something to be said for both ways.

@pony How so?

@zeldatra when I learned vectoring the first time I had a guide and it went really well, but then years passed and I switched programs and tried to teach myself after fogetting most of what I knew. it didn't go too well, but it helped a LOT after I went and found a tutorial because I was very familiar with many of the controls. I think a mix of using guides and experimenting works well for me.

@pony @pony When it came to Flash, I never had to use tutorials. I just picked up the program, learned how to keyframe, and I was set. Blender was waaay harder for me, but I ended up learning a new program that may or may not end up helping me later.

@pony I plan to, at some point, figure out how to combine Flash and Blender to create a 2D cartoon with 3D special effects.

@zeldatra i'm guess a good video editor would let you do that.

@pony For SWAG.MOV, HotDiggedyDemon used Flash, Blender, and Adobe AfterEffects in conjunction with each other.

@zeldatra right. }'ve heard a lot of popular video makers if not all of them use After Effects.
